Jason decides Facebook is not the golden fleece  —  Jason Calacanis is fed up with Facebook.  (I'll skip the part where I observe admiringly that Jason, who is Twittering more and blogging less this summer, knows that writing a Saturday-morning Dvorak troll post will tweak Facebook cultists into lighting-up his in-coming linkometer.)

SILVERLIGHT 1.0 RC1 IS HERE!  —  As indicated in a previous post, we're homing in on the launch of Silverlight 1.0, and today marks another milestone with the launch of the first release candidate.  Since the beta we released at MIX, we've fixed approximately 2000 bugs and work items and we're …

Big names backing internet video company  —  Now you may not recognize the name Steve Wozniak.  He never really did anything important.  He had a hand in starting some little company, named after a piece of fruit or something.  Doesn't really have any significance in today's world.

Telstra iPhone SIM hack video  —  Although the voiceover on this YouTube video was almost too soothing to listen to, the demo being explained definitely got our excitable attention.  We're not sure about this hack's details, but the user demonstrating his iPhone's non-AT&T outgoing call usage here gets two thumbs up from us.

D.C.'s P2P Summer Spectacle  —  You know it's summer when everyone in Washington is suddenly talking about P2P.  College students who otherwise might protest bad legislation are busy getting stoned in Europe.  High temperatures drive lobbyists into pit bull-like attack mode.

How Much Is A Facebook User Worth?  At Least $0.30  —  People aren't wasting any time trying to figure out how to monetize all those thousands of Facebook apps that have sprung up over the last couple of months.  At least three advertising experiments have launched - the most promising, by far, is RockYou.
