Declaring Bankruptcy  —  I've done that a few times on this blog, both times related to email overload.  It's a dangerous thing to do.  Bankruptcy is a loaded work, particularly coming from someone who's in the money business.  The media loves to run a headline with the word bankruptcy in it.

Jason decides Facebook is not the golden fleece  —  Jason Calacanis is fed up with Facebook.  (I'll skip the part where I observe admiringly that Jason, who is Twittering more and blogging less this summer, knows that writing a Saturday-morning Dvorak troll post will tweak Facebook cultists into lighting-up his in-coming linkometer.)

SILVERLIGHT 1.0 RC1 IS HERE!  —  As indicated in a previous post, we're homing in on the launch of Silverlight 1.0, and today marks another milestone with the launch of the first release candidate.  Since the beta we released at MIX, we've fixed approximately 2000 bugs and work items and we're …

Video Game Matches to Be Televised on CBS  —  The magic of television has already transformed everything from motorcycle acrobatics to poker into living-room spectator sports, not to mention turning competitive singing into a national obsession.  Next on the list: video games.

iFuntastic 2.0 released with added features  —  bitSplit, the man that brought you iFuntastic, has released version 2.0, which improves functionality and adds some new features.  If you've been living under a rock lately, the iPhone Dev Wiki hackers have been hard at work on all sorts of nifty hacks for the iPhone.

New Rockstar Games Franchise Exclusive to the PS3  —  This is Michael Shorrock.  I'm the Director of 3rd Party Relations at SCEA.  As you may have seen this morning/last night on GameHead with Geoff Keighley, we are announcing that a new franchise from Rockstar Games will be exclusive to PS3.

Big names backing internet video company  —  Now you may not recognize the name Steve Wozniak.  He never really did anything important.  He had a hand in starting some little company, named after a piece of fruit or something.  Doesn't really have any significance in today's world.

Telstra iPhone SIM hack video  —  Although the voiceover on this YouTube video was almost too soothing to listen to, the demo being explained definitely got our excitable attention.  We're not sure about this hack's details, but the user demonstrating his iPhone's non-AT&T outgoing call usage here gets two thumbs up from us.

Facial Recognition Comes to Live Search  —  From the blog post on the [Windows] Live Search team's blog entitled Three new features in Live Search Images we learn … The feature works pretty well as long as you enclose the name of the person in quotes and use the image search tab.

Geek To Live: Manage your life via SMS  —  The command line's making a comeback, but the terminal window, keyword launcher and search box aren't the only textual command interfaces—your cell phone has joined the party.  More and more modern webapps let you interact with your data via SMS …

Turning comments off (or, "What comes after blogging?"  [ or 'I think I'm done.  Yeah, I'm done'])  —  Inspired by Dave Winer I think I'm going to try the no comments route for a while.  —  I've always felt you can't call yourself a blog without having comments, but I've found that the level …

How Much Is A Facebook User Worth?  At Least $0.30  —  People aren't wasting any time trying to figure out how to monetize all those thousands of Facebook apps that have sprung up over the last couple of months.  At least three advertising experiments have launched - the most promising, by far, is RockYou.
